“I played football in high school, and back then, I would’ve given anything to put on weight. But after I graduated and kept eating the way I used to eat and not exercising, I put on weight. And I joined the Army, and while I was in the Army, again I took off weight. When I got out of the Army, I put on more weight. And it’s been a back and forth over the years.
Even my wife says, ‘You’re always successful at losing weight; it’s just, you put it back on.’ And for me, a big part of it was that, as soon as I went back to eating the food that they said was restricted or I stopped exercising or whatever, the weight would come back on, plus some.
I discovered the Food Lovers Fat Loss system actually a year prior to doing it. I turned on the TV one night, and there it was. But I really just thought it sounded too good to be true. I didn’t think it would work. And so, at that time, I tried another program instead, and a year later, I was right back to where I had been.
Then I saw the Food Lovers infomercial again, and just out of desperation, I said, ‘I’m going to try it.‘ I still doubted that it couldn’t possibly be true that I could actually eat the foods that I loved, and still lose weight. But I just took a chance on it. And even going through at least the first 21 days, I was still skeptical. I thought, ‘I’ll try this for 21 days, and then I’ll see if this really works.’ It was only after about 13 pounds lost that I actually started believing and started setting greater goals.
Really this program has given me my life back. The workout DVD got me back into where I felt my body could handle more intensity. I decided to start training for a half marathon and a marathon, which I’ll be doing in this next year. And through this program, I’ve been able to help other people and it just gives you that joy and satisfaction just being able to not only change your life but to help change other people’s as well.
I can tell you that now I feel a lot better about when I go out in public. I feel good about going out with my wife. I feel a lot better about meeting people. As a matter of fact, I had a job interview just a couple of weeks ago – the first job interview I’ve ever enjoyed going on, because I just had so much more confidence. I mean, it really does make a big difference in how you perceive yourself and how you see yourself.”
