“Most of my life, I was pretty heavy. After I got out of high school, I went into the Army and lost quite a bit of weight. But as soon as I got out of the Army, I ballooned up to about 260 pounds and stayed there for about eight years.
Before I found the Food Lovers Program, I was eating two meals a day and I was still gaining weight. When I started using the Food Lovers Program, I learned that the less you eat, the more your metabolism slows down. When you limit the amount of calories you take in, your body shuts down and starts holding on to everything.
With the Food Lovers Program, I’m probably eating about four times the amount of food that I was eating when I was heavy and couldn’t lose weight. You’re constantly feeding the machine, so it’s constantly burning all the food that you put in there. As you eat on a more regular basis, the body’s metabolism speeds up so your body is burning calories all day long, even when you sleep.
On the Food Lovers Program, you also can enjoy sinful pleasures like chocolates, wine, breads, pastas that most other diets frown on. This is just the way to live your life, so you’re not dieting. You’re constantly eating the foods that you enjoy and reaching your goals. If you want ice cream there’s a way you can eat ice cream. If you want a hamburger, there’s a way you can eat a hamburger. If you want pizza, there’s a way you can eat pizza.
Before I started the Food Lovers Program, I was like a lot of people out there. When I went to the beach, I kept my shirt on. I didn’t want to take my shirt off when I was at the beach, I avoided swimming parties, things of that nature. I pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be fat for the rest of my life. And when I went on the program, I realized that there’s a whole world out there that you get to enjoy once you start losing weight.
I followed the Food Lovers Program for six months, lost about 12 inches mainly on the midsection, toned the arms up a little bit and put on some quality muscle. I was at my 20-year class reunion, sat down at a table with people that I went to school with and it took them 15 to 20 minutes of talking to me to realize who I was because my body had transformed so much from an 18-year-old high school senior to now being a 39-year-old man and I’m in the best shape of my life.”
