“I really never had a problem until I was in my mid-20s. After I got married, I kind of settled into the whole, ‘Okay, I’m married. I’m fine. I don’t really need to worry too much about how I look.’ But there was a time where I just started to feel really uncomfortable about just going out, going to work, dressing, shopping for clothes. It was really frustrating, so I thought I needed to do something different.
I’ve lost a lot of my waist and on my arms, and I feel great. I looked a lot different before. You could really tell in my face. I’ve lost a lot on my face and I just feel different. I feel better after having lost that weight. It’s just amazing how much better I feel having lost that.
Before I tried Food Lovers, I tried Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig. I even did the fen-phen pills. I did that at two different times, and each time, I lost maybe 10 to 15 pounds, but within a matter of time, I just gained it all back and then some. I think the problem with some of those other programs is that it’s a temporary fix. I was able to lose 15 pounds, but that was really unhealthy. Just as quickly as I took off that weight, I put it back on. So, it started to get really frustrating, mentally.
What’s different about Food Lovers is that a lot of it is a process. It’s not just trying to release your fat. They also educate you on how to eat properly, how to choose the right foods, how to exercise more efficiently, which I thought was great. And on Food Lovers, I learned that I can eat my pasta and my bread and my rice, and still lose weight. They taught me that I could, that I could believe in myself, that I could be successful at weight loss and I didn’t have to feel bad anymore.
Both my husband and I did the program, and we both lost weight. And we’ve both kept it off, and it’s made it a lot more fun to cook because we’re eating healthier foods and we’re still enjoying it. And we’ve actually gotten closer.
I went from eating two or three meals a day that were large and unhealthy to eating six, sometimes even seven healthy meals that are so yummy. I’ve learned how to eat pizza, cheeseburgers, even an oven-fried chicken is delicious. Oh, my gosh. It’s really good! I’m eating oatmeal, cookies, chocolate. I’m having a little bit of wine, pizza, cheeseburgers – and I’ve kept it all off. I’ve maintained it for about nine months already.
I think it’s called the Food Lovers Fat Loss System because you still get to enjoy your foods. I love food and I don’t want to change too much on how I eat and what I eat. But you really do appreciate your love for food when you’re on the Food Lovers System!”
